An intense experience, like kite-surfing for example, is an experience during which no reflexive thinking is requested.

Most of the time we try to escape low intensity experiences as we find them boring: so for example we fill the low intensity day-to-day commuting with listening music, watching a movie, speaking to a friend or interacting on social networks. Intensity is a concept first developed for electricity, naming the ratio between voltage, or potential difference and the resistance facing the path of electricity, leading to energy losses. By analogy, there is also a resistance to minimize and a potential of pleasure to maximize in life intensity. We maximize our feelings and minimize our thinking. An intense experience, like kite-surfing for example, is an experience during which no reflexive thinking is requested. Quite the contrary actually as reflection would spoil our pleasure. The experience needs to be immersive, involving all our senses.
